Welcome to class 1-369. My name is Ms. Omeroglu. I look forward to working together throughout the year to help your children learn and grow. Your child's homework folder will be an important communication tool this school year. Please kindly check this homework folder every night to ensure you have the most up to date information regarding your child's education. Be sure to take out any old notices daily, as you will recieve new information each day.
Homework will be assigned daily as a reinforcement for what was learned in school. Assignments can be found in your child's homework pad. While I encourage you to help your children with their homework, please allow them to complete as much as they can indepenently. Please be sure to sign each homework assignment every night.
Our class has gym on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as health on Fridays. Please have your child wear sneakers and comfortable clothing on these days to ensure they are able to participate in any physical activities. If your child cannot tie his or her shoes, I encourage him or her to wear velcro sneakers.
1st grade has a late lunch at 12:30 in the afternoon. The students will have a 10 minute snack each morning. Please send a small and heatlhy snack that your child may eat during this time.
